A PERFECT MEETING OF
TALENT ,SOUL, PASSION
ROCK 'N ROLL.
How It All Began.
I remember seeing 'QUEEN LIVE AT WEMBLEY' on Television when i was 5 or 6 years old and being completely star struck by Freddie Mercury on stage.
His stage presence, His voice, the way He commanded the crowd and thought " i want to do that.....".
In every performance my 'inner freddie' is there....in my own mind.
I have performed at more than 1200 Events, Parties and Weddings giving me the knowledge and confidence to read a Dance-floor and choose songs to make you Sing, Smile and Dance ALL NIGHT LONG....
It's fair to say that I feel the Funk! My style has developed over nearly 20 years of playing... Crikey! I love to create a tight groove that sits with the drums and bass and this tightness is a key element in the live show.
I go to great lengths to ensure that I do justice to each and every song in the set, in terms of recreating the tone and feel of the original recordings. I'm a funky player with huge respect for the funk pioneers, drawing influences from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Nile Rodgers. I also have a feel for the blues and this is evident in my lead playing.
I have a wide palette. Some of favourite acts include Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Guns n Roses and coming right up to date with The Killers and Kings of Leon all covered in the live set.
When not playing, I indulge my creative side playing guitar in a folk rock based original band. I spent 5 years professionally on the tribute circuit in both a Red Hot Chili Peppers and a Rage Against The Machine tribute act. During this time, we played in some of the very best venues all over the country including O2 arenas and the Borderline in London.
I have been playing bass for the last sixteen years, in this time I have attended the highly acclaimed Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey, where I gained a HND in bass guitar. I now use this extra knowledge to teach 1st diploma bass at The Academy of Music and Sound in Swindon.
As a bass player I would have to say my main influences would have to be, Marcus Miller, James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Nathan Watts, and many more. However, during my time at the ACM I got the chance to meet and gain knowledge of my instrument from some of the world’s greatest players. Such as: Stu Hamm (Steve Vai, Joe Satriana) Reggie Hamilton (Seal, Universal films) Guy Pratt (Madonna, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd). I have also toured with The Ruen Brothers.
I take my place at the back of the stage playing Drums and Percussion. I have been playing drums live in various bands for over 14 yrs now. Music is a passion of mine and I love playing live and entertaining.
During My musical career I have played live on BBC radio performed on television, various sessions and studio work.
My musical experience and influences come from Paul Martin (Session musician), Phil Gould (Level 42), Abe Laboriel, Jr (Paul McCartney) and my musical taste varies from the classic drum and bass grooves of the disco and soul hits to the present day lively indie rock and pop scene.
